Shopping for seasonal food is lovely no matter what time of year, but there’s something about the fruits of summer during peak freshness that you don’t mind waiting an entire year to obtain.
Rambutan is a Malaysian plum-sized tropical fruit, lychees are small round fruits with a sweet-scented pulp. Lately, I’ve been focused on radishes served French style with butter and salt.
Bouillabaisse is a Provençal fish soup with a tomato base, and while there’s no strict formula, I love this hearty seafood soup that contains a variety of seafood, shellfish and lots of garlic.

I enjoy traveling anytime of the year, but prefer exploring areas in warmer weather. There are two places on my list of travel that I want to research and study. On the UNESCO World Heritage List is the city Cuzco in the Peruvian Andes, which was once capital to the Inca Empire. Impressive remnants, citadels and temples remain for exploration.

I’ve never been to Hawaii, but want to experience and hike the various terrains upon arriving in the islands. There are mountains topped with snow, jungles, deserts, black sand and white sandy beaches, along with volcanos. To hike through this beauty would be a wondrous experience.
Stay stylish,
Kathleen

If you go to the island of Maui, be sure to drive at 4am up to the lookout enclosure atop Haleakala Volcano, wait for the sunrise, and see the clouds pour out of its innards. You can also hike inside to the bottom.
