Outdoor temps have finally begun to cool, making it easier to work around Heath, decorate for the holidays and to place throws around the house for comfortable evenings. Cozy is the operative word at this time of year, feeling snug from the briskness outdoors. I have always appreciated the holidays of autumn to be closer to family and friends in order to celebrate traditions both past and present.
We can finally turn on the oven for baking or make old fashioned preservers from pears. The smell of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves permeating about truly sets the tone for the season.
