What’s the perfect way to end a frenetic work week? By popping off to Paris of course….. enjoying a few exhibitions at several museums, partaking in delicious home style food in quaint out of the way bistro‘s, then top it off by socializing with friends who are here too … for fashion week!!! The Tuileries Gardens were lit up this afternoon with fab music from the show and while I did not have a ticket, I did get timed ticket entry to the Louvre. And, believe it or not the museum eventually closed due to the Solidarité strikes with workers wanting to hit the government of Paris where it hurts…..tourism! Trust me there is never a dull moment while in Paris. Strikes, copious amounts of rain, two metro lines available, and Parisienes yelling {loudly} to enforce their rights or demands……love it!!!
As we just arrived, we need to settle in, unpack, and stop site-seeing…. but more post are on the way.
Travel safely,
Kathleen
Looking forward to hearing more. Paris is one of my fave destinations – so much to see and do.

Sheree, I am finding on each visit that I’m loving Paris more and more. It takes a few hours to get into the rhythm of the city, but once you navigate the streets and maneuver around the people its like a second home.

Dearest T, it is always great to hear from you, and we definitely need to hook up for a great chat. We went to the Musee Yves Saint Laurent yesterday and saw beautiful millinery designs, these hats Nadia would enjoy seeing. I have the photos to share with her upon our return.

We are having a great time cramming so a lot into the short time allotted. People are protesting in the streets, which are closing shops and museums. But, we returned a few days later to find the Louvre had reopened!
