Super Blue Moon

As a habitual stargazer it was an incredible treat early this morning to see this super blue moon, and it was so close. Unfortunately, being in the mid-Atlantic we were not able to see the partial eclipse that would give this satellite it’s blood red hue, but those of you on the west coast would have that opportunity!

Remember to keep looking up!!!!

Grand Tetons

{The Teton Range is the focus of the park, and home to massive mountains, pristine lakes with abundant wildlife}

Ten miles south of Yellowstone is Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Our researchers did a bit of mountaineering, hiking and fishing while collecting information on the migration habits of bison. Their  photographs are absolutely breathtaking, and at this time of year the heat with humidity of the east coast leaves one exasperated.

When examining these photographs dream of hiking scenic trails, all while breathing in the freshest of mountain air or standing on the perfect ledge to be used as a vantage point for viewing the lay of the land. This gorgeous park is 45 miles long and spreads across 309,944 acres. It is named for the tallest mountain in the range after 19th century French trappers named the hills…..les trois Teton {the three teats}, which was later shortened to Tetons…..such a fun fact!

Hike stylishly,
K
