Hallow’s Eve

Here are a few pieces from museums that extol spooky and bizarre,  just the right portion of hair-raising on such an eerie night.  Have a frightfully bone-chilling evening!!!

Cortina d’ Ampezzo

From the heart of Venice to the Dolomites our team were off to Cortina d’Ampezzo for a hiking, site-seeing, and always a bit of shopping. The beautiful surroundings of Cortina have been the perfect backdrop for luxurious living and several of my favorite movies.

Because of its location or better still access to the mountains, resorts and varying sports; scenes from two choice movies were filmed here, starting with The Pink Panther [1963] and the [1984] Bond film For Your Eyes Only.

A number of action sequences were shot throughout the town, in the resorts and on the ski slopes. In both movies characters lead secret lives as jewel thieves, agents for Her Majesties service, as the vicious villain or the scorned woman bent on revenge. The chase scenes encompass beautiful shots of the mountains as the stars ski the slopes.

High in the Dolomite’s, Cortina boasts of the best après-ski scene, and our crew were fiending for schnitzel and potatoes [fried] of course, with a view to completely relax around. Lago di Misurina is the largest natural lake of the Cadore, which is a historical region in the Italian Veneto, boardering on Austria. There is nothing like trying the local food and drink when traveling.
