Facets of Spring

On Saturday afternoon the sun began shining through a tremendous wall of clouds for a brief moment, and I was so excited at the prospect of a bit of warmth that I grabbed my camera and headed out the front door.

Everywhere I looked spring was pushing its way through the surface of the rich soil. My neighbors were out planting annuals, but I preferred photographing a few of the perennials that I look forward to seeing every year!

Here are a few items that are blooming prolifically in the house an Amaryllis and a few onions from the larder, we are definitely springing forward!!

  1. Still waiting for any sign of spring in Chicago. My favorite season, so I’ll just wait patiently. However I’m glad you southern folks have reason to celebrate. Enjoy.
