Joyous December

When are you most happy?

Strolling the Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, shopping the fashion boutique’s or taking the thermal baths in Vals, Switzerland are most pleasing experiences. But this being a festive time of year to celebrate the holidays with family and friends places my focus to one place …… home.

I’m completely comfortable and extremely happy at home with my dream itinerary of lounging on the sofa with books, notebooks for writing or drafting post for Stylish Heath. I swap my constricting denim for a faux fur lounge set from Fabulous Furs, and you’ll never know when you might be obligated to trek outside [going to the mailbox, to the neighbors or cocktails with friends] one always wants to look presentable.

We’ve begun the party circuit of spending time in a festive season that encourages us to go all out. One holiday celebration pops up after the next taking us away from our comfort zone, compelling us to celebrate. So, whether we hit social functions or travel to parts unknown, I will always secretly want to bunker down in the coziness and warmth at Heath.

Enjoy the holidays,
Kathleen

Walking-Hiking

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

I’m one who enjoys a variety of yoga, Pilates or arobics as a daily epression of working out. But my absolute favorite form of physical excerise is opening the front door and walking up the sreet to stroll throughout the neighborhood. And, if I can walk on a clear crisp evening or under the early morning sky filled with stars that adds to the benefits of being outside.

This morning’s walk started out under very cloudy skies with a slight drizzle, but at 7:27am the sky began to clear as the sun rose.

There are many advantages to walking; it lessens anxiety, improves my sleep, builds immunity and boost creativity. I find walking threaputic if I’m designing a blog post. It’s where I do my most innovative thinking and crafting.

Stay strong,
Kathleen
