European ornamentation is never overdone; strands of illuminated gold thread may be woven into a topiary or shrub on the front of a residence or shop. Red bows abound and music is playing everywhere… its a gorgeous way to spend Christmas!

The winter solstice arrived last night in the northern hemisphere bearing several gifts; the longest night, the shortest day and a full moon known as the Full Cold Moon. The added bonus of having such a brilliant moon over the next few days will lend light to our celebration, while in Rome.
