Election Night

I VotedI remember senior year in high school our Government teacher stated that if anyone was to be 18 years of age by the November election we could complete a voter registration form. I have voted every year since that form was submitted and have been part of many historical events. Over the years Northern Virginia has experienced great ethnic and cultural diversification, we elected the first African American as Governor in 1990 and Fairfax County helped elect our 44th President. Watching the returns, it is great to see how close these races are this evening, which indicates people did get out to cast their concerted opinions.

To everyone who scheduled the time to vote today, you are to be commended!

  1. What a country. The power to vote representatives in and out of office. Of course that’s what I’m used to and the way it should be.
